What is CTR?
CTR (Click-Through Rate) is the percentage of people who see your ad and click it. It's calculated as clicks ÷ impressions × 100. A 2% CTR means 2 out of every 100 people who saw your ad clicked it. CTR is the primary signal of ad creative quality — it tells you whether your hook, visual, and headline are compelling enough to make people stop scrolling.
Why It Matters
High CTR is the first filter in a healthy ad funnel. If your CTR is low, your creative isn't cutting through — and all the budget in the world won't fix a bad hook. But CTR is also only half the story: an ad with 5% CTR that drives zero purchases is worse than an ad with 1.5% CTR that converts consistently. Track CTR alongside conversion rate and ROAS for the full picture.
Benchmarks
| Level | Range | What It Means |
|---|---|---|

| Average | 1% – 2% | Acceptable baseline. Test new hooks and visuals to push higher. |
| Good | 2% – 5% | Strong performance. Creative is resonating with your audience. |
| Excellent | 5%+ | Top-tier. Scale this creative before fatigue sets in. |
