How to use a product ad prompt with your own product
- Pick a prompt whose look you like. The lighting, setting and angle matter more than whatever product happens to be in it.
- Upload a clear photo of your product to the model along with the prompt. Nano Banana and ChatGPT both accept reference images.
- Change the product description in the prompt to match yours, and add "keep the product, label and logo exactly as in the reference".
- Generate three or four versions, then check the label, the logo and any text carefully. Image models still misspell words on packaging.
- Put the best one into an ad layout, or use it as the hero image in one of our free ad templates.
What makes a product ad prompt work
Good product ad prompts describe the photo the way a photographer would. They name the surface the product sits on, the light (soft window light, hard studio flash, golden hour), the camera angle, the lens, and what else is in the frame. A vague prompt like "a nice product photo" gets you a generic stock look. Leave room for the ad copy too: if the headline goes at the top, ask for empty space there.
